Finding my way back

So I havent wrote in a while here. I dont understand as to why arabs find the Quraan as a bore or a burden or to lazy do review and read it. If they would just pick it up. It has all the answers to your problems  Then  they wonder why it is they have hard ships. The Holy Quraan is a guidance for every one .

One of my favorite verses is Remember me and I will Remember you

Surah Baqarah 2:152

Thinking Blog Name Changes

While I want  to keep this blog for memorizing Qur'aan  I am thinking about changing the name as some thing in  Misr  with our Ummah really annoys me some times. So we will see what happens

Now  how much did you review today. Do not forget Review Review Review

Qur'aan is important and we need to preserve it.

So what do you think Keep the name of the Blog or change it .

Misr Rants

I just do not get muslims here living in Misr(Egypt) they will go out of their way to give their children an Western Education , learning english and so on, but when it comes to Islam they do nothing . They barely speak the  arabic language if at all. Its a local language. Why not teach your kids the language of Quraan and you  your self learn it as a muslim and or muslimah. Its our duty as parents to give  our kids a good islamic education. Not only it will help them in this dunya but in the after life.  Now days you got muslim kids  here I cant tell if they are muslim or kafir(disbelievers) its just sad to me to see this,  Our  kids wanting to take role models like Kim kardashian, or  Beyonce, Kanye West, Instead of  role models like Omar Ibn Khattab. Amir Al Khattab Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him .  And whats this about not getting your kids up for prayer. oh Im so sick of hearing they are too young. Let them sleep. astaghfirullah you cant  wake your kids up to pray  but you wake them up for school and party and other stuff and then wonder why they are out of control when they are teenagers and then grow up to be terrible adults. Its because we as parents have failed them.  We should be the role model  but instead we are trying to be a friend . So then this is why our kids   are out of control  because they have no proper role models. We need to wake up or else our kids are going to go to the kafirs and I know we dont want that.

Ramadan has come and gone ..

SubnahAllah  Ramadan has come to an end. I am very sad to see it leave but Alhamdulillah I was  blessed to be here to witness, One thing I would like to stress just because Ramadan has come and come does not mean we have to give up striving to become closer to Allah. We can do this all year around, by reading Quran praying, fasting  leaving off  all acts of disobedience which does not please  Allah.

Lets continue to strive to become better muslims and learn about our deen, so that we may be able to teach and help others along the way.

I am still trying to put together a good routine for me to review  Quraan and learn my new pages of the Surah  I am going over.  Right now its just  wait until I get a  silent time but I need to put something stronger together . I am not so much  worried about the hours. I am dedicated to comitting to that but need to put together a solid plan.

Does any one have any idea? Id love to  hear them

I always get this  Question at least one or twice a day.. Why are you memorizing Qur'aan

My answer is always  that I want the blessing from  Allah and I want to be one of those who Allah loves the most. Only   special people are blessed with the ability of memorizing Qur'aan. I believe anyone can do it.  It does not matter your age, race, color nationality, Allah has stated in the Qur'aan that it has been made easy for all to remember, and who among us will remember it.

Its  really easy you just have to put some effort in to it. It wont be done over night but it can be accomplished. Ive had a few people that laughed at the idea of a non arabic native memorizing Qur'aan but  Ive brushed it off because with Allah you can do anything

Also I find most people who speak negative about you, are just jealous because they cant accept you are doing something positive, or the can not bring themselves to do it.  So they will try and knock you down. and make you feel bad about your  self. Dont listen to any of this. I dont care how long it takes. Rather it take  you a day to learn a ayah or it takes you longer.  Keep going and practicing as  you will get better over time and get thee negative people out of your life. They dont need to be there.  Soon I will put together a list of things that have helped me along the way with my memorizing and what got me to where I am today In sha Allah.,    Alhamdulillah for these lessons learned as it did not do anything but make me stronger, and learn to choose who I want to be around more wisely because not every one who say they are friends they are some are just out to hurt and harm you and again  I say you dont need this in your life. Release the negative  energy  and people from your life, and surround your self with positive.  If nothing else I hope my posts will inspire  you to always stay positive  no matter what, and what ever you want to do, you can do it. Just keep  Allah first in your life and your intentions pure , make a game plan and effort and  then go for it.

ramadan thoughts

Ramadan has nearly come to an end. I am so sad to see it go. I really wish it could be Ramadan all the time. The peace and happiness I feel during this time. To see muslims practicing  their islam the way they should and to see the high increase in imaan . Its great to see  I just hope this year that every one will see the good changes in their self and keep it going . Regardless of what time it is muslims need to focus on their imaan. Reading of the Quran praying and acts of worship and dhikr . This is what makes on a muslim. and the last few days of Ramadan will count the most because you never know when your duaas will be answered . So lets keep making the most of this time, and make dua for our brothers and sister who are oppressed and being abused by the kufar in the West . May Allah hasten their release soon.

Progress Alhamdulillah

alhamdulillah after  Fajr I got all my reviewing done from Surah Baqarah and from Quad Sama'i  to  An Nas.  I plan  to jot  down a schedule of what I will be doing and how many hour a day I will be reviewing and reading.
I need to make time for my revision and time to learn  the new as well.

I have come up with the idea of keeping track of my study of the Qur'aan with a  notebook so when I am not only line I can see what   I have done and the progress I have made to reach the goals for that day and  stick with them and make sure   I attend the lessons. In sha Allah that wont be back in progress until after Ramadan.

I am not in any type of rush and I am not one of these who have to get the Qur'aan done by a certain time. I  do not like this way. Its not a rush and should be done only with the intention to please Allah and also done at a pace so  you will remember what you learn. Alot of these young students now days are in a rush to see who can out do the other, and in competiotion, even their teachers have them do this. Soon after they accomplish this goal they will soon forget  the Qur'aan and this my friends is something we do not want to do as it is a major sin to do so.

So I am ready to get the show on the road(in Paul Blarts voice) LOL and become a Hafiza if its the last thing I do and with the permission of Allah. I am ready lets do this

A Story of A Haafidh 2 Months to memorise the Quran

Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem
Alhamdulillaahi Rabb al-’Alameen, Was Salaatu was Salaam ‘ala Rasoolillaah wa ‘Ala aalihee wa Sahbihee wa Manwala wa Ba’d
Below is the account of a Haafidh, who took 2 months to memorise the book of Allaah Jalla wa’Aalaa. May Allaah forever preserve their memorisation of the Noble uncreated Speech of Allaah, and may Allaah preserve them and their Deen, Aameen!
“I declared a state of Jihad upon my soul and put death before my eyes. I made an intention to memorise the Noble Qur’aan. So I abandoned telephone calls and unnecessary visits, and I changed all the negative thoughts associated with hifdh (memorisation) to positive and practical ones e.g. When a thought came to me saying ‘I can’t do it!’ I’d say, ‘I can do it.’ If it said, ‘My memory is weak!’ I’d say ‘I take pleasure in having a great memory.’
I chose the masjid as the place of my hifdh as it preserves three:
1. The eyes
2. The ears
3. The tongue
I followed a specific dietary program consisting of eating dates, fruits and honey – and fasting helped me a great deal in that. I used to wake up before salaat al-Fajr by 2 and a half hours and I slept 2 hours after ‘Isha. I used to wake up for Tahajjud (the night prayer), prolonging my sujood wherein I would call upon Allaah ta’alaa to ease for me my affair. I would also seek forgiveness 100 times.
I began to memorise 5 pages and would recite them in the Sunnah prayers of Fajr. After salaat al-Fajr, I would begin the memorisation of 5 new pages and at the end, I would recite them in the 2 raka’ahs of salaat al-Duhaa, all the time thanking Allaah for easing the memorisation.
I would perfect the recitation of what I had memorised by listening to tapes of one of the reciters. I would read about the qiraa’ah in books or via the Muqaddimah al-Jazariyyah (poem on the ahkam of tajweed).
After salaat al-Dhuhr, I would repeat everything that I had memorised previously beginning from the 1st Juz, until salaat al-’Asr. After the ‘Asr prayer, I would repeat the new portion of hifdh and the juz before. After the Maghrib prayer, I would prepare the recitation of 10 new pages and it was only after salaat al-’Isha that I’d review the Qur’aan with my teacher, may Allaah reward him well.
Before retiring to bed, I would listen to all that I memorised in the day from cassettes and I would be sitting for 6 continuous hours, without any boredom or feeling tired. In the 1st week, I would sit for 6 hours, memorising and revising. In the 2nd week, I would sit for 8 hours. In the 3rd week, it was 10 hours and in the 4th week, it was 12 hours. In the last 10 days, I was sitting for 14 hours memorising and revising.
The hardest times for me were when it came to sleeping and eating. I ardently wished that the period of sleep would end quickly so that I could start my hifdh of the Noble of Qur’aan. Every Time I began to read the Qur’aan and memorise, I felt such delight and enjoyment that I had never felt before. Du’a was an important factor for me before and after hifdh. I would memorise a page whilst sitting down and then repeat it whilst walking. My teacher played an important role in encouraging me, in revision, in correcting me and benefiting me in terms of Tajweed.
In the last week, on the night of 20th Ramadan, only 4 and a half juz remained until completion of hifdh. So I turned to Allaah to open up my way and ease it for me. I went on to memorise it in 6 days with the Help of Allaah.
Laylatul-Qadr came, the night of delight and happiness – it was like a wedding night to me. My completion of hifdh took place between Maghrib and ‘Isha in the masjid with the Imam and those in I’tikaaf. We began the khatma (reciting from beginning till end of the Book). In the end, during the du’aa, my heart opened up greatly and I began to weep like never before. It was the most beautiful hour of my life. Allaah had honoured me with the memorisation of His Book.
During the du’aa, I remembered a dream I had more than 10 years ago… I was a Mu’adhin of a mosque and after Fajr salaah, I sat remembering Allaah in the mosque. I felt sleepy so I took a nap in the middle of the mosque, and behold! I found myself amidst a gathering. A powerful ray of light descended from the sky down to the middle of the masjid. From that light came many angels and between them were 2 big Angels. One of them turned towards me and took me to the light. I entered along with the 2 angels. I then found myself on top of a large green tree – I began to climb it in the companionship of the 2 angels. We found angels standing by the door of the 1st heaven. They said to me ‘Where are you going?’They opened up a book and said,‘We don’t have your name with us, so climb onwards to the top.’ And likewise, all the time (through each heaven), they said the same thing to me.
Upon arriving at the 7th heaven, we reached the end of the tree. I found angels standing at the door and they said, ‘Are you Muhammad?’ I said, ‘Yes.’ They said, ‘Enter, for the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) wants you.’ I said to the 2 angels that were with me ‘Come in with me.’ They said, ‘We can’t enter. But we will wait for you.’So I entered Jannah and behold, I saw therein what no eye has seen, no ear has heard and had never entered in the heart of Man. Angels were surrounding me and there was a door, on top of it was written “Laa Ilaha Illa Allah wa Muhammad-ar Rasoola Allah. Jannah tul- Firdaws. (There is no God but Allaah and Muhammad is His Messenger. Al-Firdaws Paradise).
The Angels opened the door and I entered. Before me was the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) sitting at the top end and beside him were men, some that I recognised and some that I didn’t. In front of him were a very large group of men, women and children. They wore white clothes, and they were so many that they had a beginning but no end. All of them were reciting Qur’aan.
The Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) called me and I went up to him. He got up and made some space for me. I kissed him and he sat me down besides him. I asked him ‘Who are these people O Messenger of Allah?’ He said, ‘These are the people who have memorised the Book of Allaah `azza wa jall.’
Inshaa’Allaah ta’ala, the dream ended in truth. I never spoke to anyone about it until the night that I completed the memorisation of the Qur’aan.”

Taboo Subject Racism in Islam No place for it

Something I have notice among muslims  being racism. Altho its  forbidden in islam to be a racist. I see it alot. Especially when its arab with african american.  Some of the born arabs see their self better than the reverts and particularly  when it has to do with an  African American revert. Its  absurd they the  arab muslim will not allow his  daughter or son to  marry to one of African American decent because of the color of their skin. They forget that the first muslim  an early convert to islam  who was a  Companion of the Messenger of  Allah(peace be upon  him )was a black man name Bilal .
So how can one claim they are muslim and have this hate in their hearts against other muslims when we all pray to   Allah and we all believe in the same religion,. Also  I have never seen many African American Hafiza or Hafiz Qur'aan I dont know if they havent took the time to memorize Qur'aan but I am sure there are some. But when you see one its of a  Somalia or Bosnia or some other color.
Even the  arab muslims will encourage white reverts they actually will go  all out for the white blonde blue eyed revert opposed to the African American one, and why is that. Its because they have been brain wash to think white is better. When in fact no arab or non arab is better than another except in Taqwa.  Ive seen many African American reverts who get talked down when they are trying to learn theier deen and seen others who are encouraged to do certain things, such as dawah

Why not as muslims we encourage each other regardless of skin color, we are all muslim and there is no racism in islam. So this backward  way of thinking needs to stop now.
So what if Allahs Messenger peace be upon him were alive to day and say this among our  Ummah. He would not be pleased at all.

I just wanted to get this off my chest. There is no racism in islam we are all one ummah and need to start acting like it.

REWARDS OF ONE WHO BECOMES A HAFIZ/Hafiza

ON THE DAY OF QIYAMAH

Mufti   Ebrahim Desai (db) has written:
“Mu'aadh al-Juhani narrates that Rasulullah r said, 'Whosoever recites the Quran and practices upon its injunctions, the reciter's parents will be given a crown on the day of Qiyaamat.   The brightness of that crown will be more intense than the brightness of the sun in your actual house.'

Rasulullah r further said, 'What do you think will be given to the Hafiz (reciter) of the Quran himself?'” (Mishkaat Vol I.)

Shaykh ul Hadith writes in Fazail-e-Quran that Hadhrat Umar t reports that Rasulullah r
“Three persons are such as will have no fear of the horrors on the Day of Judgement, nor will they be required to render any account.   They will stroll merrily on mounds of musk until the people are relieved of rendering their account.   One is a person who learnt the Quran, merely seeking Allah’s U pleasure and therewith leads people in salaat   in a manner that they are pleased with him…”

He writes further:
“The severity, the horror, the dread and the miseries of the Day of Judgement are so great that a true Muslim is neither mindful nor unaware of them. To be relieved of those worries in any way on the Day of Judgement is a favor that surpasses thousands of blessings and millions of pleasures. The narrator of this hadith, Hadrat Abdullah Ibn Umar t is quoted as saying: “If I had not heard this hadith from Rasulullah r once, once again, and once again (he repeated it seven times), I would never have reported it."
IN THE DUNYA

The Hafiz of the Quran has such a rank in this world that he is one of only two types of people considered worthy of envy.

Under the Chapter of the Blessedness of the Holy Quran's keeper in Sahih Bukhari is the following hadith:

"Abu Huraira t narrated that Rasulullah r said:
There is no jealousy but of two men: A man whom Allah has taught the Quran and he recites is during the hours of the night and during the hours of the day, and his neighbor listens to him and says: "I wish I had been given what has been given to so-and-so, in order that I might do what he does; and a man whom Allah has given wealth and he spends it on what is just and right, whereupon another man may say: "I wish I had been given what so-and-so has been given, for then I would do what he does"

(Sahih Bukhari).

In a riwaayah from Tirmidhi listed in Muntakhab Ahadith is the following detail of the reward for reciting each letter of the Quran:

Abdullah ibn Masud t narrated that Rasulullah r said:
He who reads one letter of the Quran it (becomes) for him a good deed, and a single good deed is rewarded (by Allah)   by ten times the like thereof. I am not saying that Alif-Lam-Mim is (just) one word, but that Alif   is a (separate) letter (word), Lam is a (separate) letter (word), and Mim is a (separate) letter (word).

(Tirmidhi)

Mufti   Ebrahim Desai (db) writes:

“For every alphabet of the Quran he had recited, he earned a minimum of ten rewards.   The maximum reward is best known by Allah U. The Quran has 6666 verses. Every verse has many alphabets.   Imagine the number of alphabets a Hafiz recites. On an average of 3 alphabets per verse a Hafiz will recite approximately, 20,000 (twenty thousand) alphabets in the entire Quran. That multiplied by ten rewards per alphabet is 200,000 (two hundred thousand).   In the course of memorising the Quran, a Hafiz makes great   sacrifices. He recites one verse many times.   If he had recited one verse at least 10 times, the reward of completing the Quran only once will be two million.   Imagine how many times thereafter, a Hafiz recites the Quran, how many Taraweehs he performs, the rewards of all that is far beyond our very limited comprehension. Probably, mathematical figures will be exhausted but not the infinite rewards of Allah U for a Hafiz-ul-Quran.”
In addition to the rewards one accrues for the hereafter there are also benefits which are become manifest in the dunya also:

“Hadrat Abu Hurairah t says:
In the house where the Quran is read, the household members increase, virtues and blessings multiply, angels descend upon the house and Shaytaan quits the home.”

(Fazail-e-Quran)
TOWARDS JANNAH
Maulana Ashiq Ilahi (rah) writes that Hadrat Ali t reports that Rasulullah r said:
“Anyone who knows the Quran by heart and follows the lawful and the prohibited according to it, he will be sent to Heaven by Allah .”

(Tirmidhi).

He continues:
“One who knows the Holy Quran by heart will be allowed to intercede for ten persons with success. But one should mention that the intercessor must be practicing the laws mentioned in the Quran and fulfilling all the demands of the Book of Allah . (What Happens After Death)

It is narrated from Hadhrat Abdullah ibn Amr t   that Rasulullah r said:
Allah will say to a Hafiz (upon his death and on the day of Qiyaamat) 'Recite the Quran and (upon reciting each Verse) climb (a stage in Jannah) and continue reciting as you used to in the world as your abode in Jannah is upon the last verse you recite.' (Mishkaat vol.1 pg.186; Me'raaj)

Mufti Ebrahim Desai (db) commenting on this hadith states:

“Obviously, the Hafiz will stop at the last verse of the Quran.   The   commentators of [this] Hadith have stated that the highest abode in Jannah is equivalent to the number of verses in the Qur'aan. Therefore, upon completing the recitation of the Quran, a Hafiz will be in highest abode of Jannah.

Thoughts during this holy month.

I have been thinking of some ways to utilize my time during Ramadan.
This month is not about fancy food and clothes, but to get back in  touch with Allah and dont forget to remember the ones who are less off than we are , and to be grateful for everything,

Some people even during the Months of this Blessed time in Ramadan all I see is nothing  but complain complain complain. SubhanAllah you should really reevaluate  your self and life if this is all you do.

We should be blessed we have a roof over our heads, and clothes on our backs food in our stomachs.
Some do not even have this, but yet you complain. Instead of doing this why not think about all you do have first before complaining about what you dont have.

So back to what I was saying before. I am memorizing Qur'aan here and  I find in my building at least its very noisy due to our neighbors who have no  respect for any one what so ever. So I have to find  new ways of getting in my practice and review time while its quiet . Alhamdulillah I have thought of something, so Ive gotten back in  the swing of things getting up after  I pray Fajr and read.
This had been something I  had done in past but gotten kind of lazy a bit, but al hamdulillah now Im getting back in the habit and will keep it up just to stay up after Fajr prayer and read  certain alot of hours in the morning, then when at night I will  read also in night.

I enjoy it and the peace it bringing me when I am reading and memorizing also  it puts me  back in touch with my  Lord and I ponder and think about each ayah I am reading and learning. Its a very wonderful feeling . I can not put it in to words.  I notice alot of the arabs here are not keen on memorizing Quraan and they find it a burden they claim or too hard. SubhanAllah if they only knew the blessing they would get by doing this. Its something we all should strive to do  and then teach it to our kids.

Why alot of people do not memorize Qur'aan

So I am here to tell you that if you are one of these persons that has this myth in  your head, that arabs are the best at  memorizing Qur'aan and reciting it, you are wrong. There is no such thing. They  Qur'aan  had been made easy for any muslim regardless to remember what ever background, revert born muslim, white African  American Chinese, any color. It really depends on you and how much work you put in to it and what your intentions are behind doing it. I mean we spend many hours on social media but cant spend an hour out of our days to pick the Qur'aan up and memorize a few verses from it . I have heard on many occasions were some sisters or  brother were memorization Qur'aan and others  also muslim mocked them laughed as they thought they were of certain color or not a born muslim as they say so they had the nerve to say they had no right to memorize Qur'aan
while when asking them what are they doing they had no reply .

What I am saying is do not let any one get in the way of what you want to do. Keep your intentions purely for the sake of Allah and go for it, Its possible in the  beginning that when you start you won't have the best sounding voice. Some of the best reciters of Qur'aan today do not have the best sounding voice, but they have the best reciting voice when it comes to  Tajweed ( rules of reciting Qur'aan)  This is the man focus you need to work on and dont forget to practice daily.

Also get this   negative thought out of  your head that its hard to do. This is Negative and  Being Negative all the time gets you absolutely nowhere. I mean so what if it  takes you along time on one Surah, to me that is better than sitting around doing nothing. At least you are doing something that will benefit you and get you rewards. So dont worry about what othrers think worry about what  you are doing If this is pleasing to Allah or not.

How to read the Qur'aan( Steps for reading the Qur'aan

The Holy Qur'an is a special book that reveals the words of Allah(SWT). Allah is the arabic name for God.The Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him)over a period of 23 years. The beginning of this revelation was sent down by Allah to Prophet Muhammad(Peace Be Upon Him), his last messenger, through angel Jibraeel A.S ( arabic for Gabriel) on the night of Laylatul-Qadr (The night of power). It deals with everything that concerns Mankind. But mostly emphasizes the relations between Allah and his creatures. Muslims believe that the Quran provides teachings, guidance, and good direction for mankind. The Holy Qur'an always has answers to your questions. Note that the Qur'an was only sent down in Arabic, which means that translations to any other language is not the actual Quran but merely an interpretation of it in that particular language.

         Steps

  • Purify yourself. Get the purity of body, clothes, and place. Make sure that these are free from filth. For purity of body, you have to take a ghusl, (shower), Wudhu(ablution) or Tayammum.

  • Recite the following:

A'udhu Billahi Minash Shaytaanir Rajeem,
I seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the cursed.

  • Then Recite Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim'In the Name of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Most Merciful.

  • Gently open the Holy Qur'an by using your right hand.

  • While you read the Holy Qur'an, you should have the presence of your heart. This means that you are not just looking at the words but you are bringing them into your mind and understanding what you are reading.

May Allah Make  keep all of our intentions pure and soley for the sake of  his pleasure
So that we gain rewards and good deeds from it. Ameen

How to Memorize the Qur'aan

By following these few steps, Insha Allah, you will be able to memorize the Qur'an and become a Hafiz

1 Be sincere. The first matter you must pay attention to even before learning any part of the .Qur'an is your intention,(remember- good intentions have good outcomes). Make sure that your intention is solely to obtain the pleasure of Allah SWT, and that with His glorious mercy you will be rewarded in the Hereafter, InshaAllah. If you are memorizing the Qur'an so that you can receive the title 'Hafiz' and be respected in society's eyes then this act of memorizing the Qur'an will harm you rather than do you any good. So correct your intention and during the course of memorizing the Qur'an continue to remind yourself that you are doing this to please your Allah.

2. Be consistent. The more frequently you sit down to learn the Qur'an, the easier it will become, InshAllah. It is very essential to be consistent to the extent that you should try not to skip even a day. There should be no Weekend or break in worship if you find pleasure in learning. During the initial stages of memorizing the Qur'an one should memorize about 3 lines, 5 is ideal. If you continue like this and build up slowly then InshAllah you will be able to learn a page and thereafter two pages a day. It is also recommended that one join a class where other students to gather to memorize the Qur'an and where a teacher is present to listen to your memorized recitation. Being in this environment helps in many ways; it will keep you on track and motivate you when Shaitaan tries to lead you astray.

3.Have a timetable and follow it. Write down suitable times for you when you can sit down to memorize. It is preferable to sit at Fajr when you awake for Salah as at this time your mind is fresh making it easier to learn. Also, you are starting your day with the blessed deed of reciting the holy book of Allah so InshAllah, your actions too will be blessed for the day to come.

4.  Select a proper environment. Have a specific place where you go. Memorize in a quiet place so that you are not distracted. The best place is at a Mosque.

5.  Find a Recitation Partner (or friend). Get a friend, a family member to listen to your recitation every day if you do not attend a class. Ideally, get someone who is also memorizing to create a peer pressure system.

6.Recite the Qur'an daily in your Salah what you have memorized. It is extremely necessary to know that while being a Hafiz has many benefits and rewards, it is a grave sin to memorize a portion of the Qur'an and then to forget it. To stop this from happening continue revising recent passages you have learned. Also revise from the beginning so that whilst you are learning ahead you do not forget the first parts.

7. Learn systematically. Do not jump from one surah to another. Learning the Qur'an in the order it is will give you the satisfaction of completing a para. This will push you forward and help you in overall completing the Qur'an memorization.

 Tip:

  • Never give up. It may become hard and you may feel as though you can not learn, but put your trust in Allah and pray for his help. Also, whilst you are memorizing the Qur'an (and even after having completed it) you should try your hardest to abstain from sin. Sinning may be the reason you find it difficult to learn passages of the Qur'an. And after having completed the memorization, after becoming a Hafiz, one should continue to abstain from sin as it is a darkness which will make the Qur'an fade from ones heart.

Why I decided to start The Hifdh Club Blog

Assalamu alaikum

Also I hope this will help others who also may be interested n memorizing Qur’aan and do not  know where to start  or just looking for some encouragement along the way.
I hope and pray this blog will increase the emaan of others and will help me to get some rewards from Allah. No matter what never give up your dreams.
